Mailroom Express (MRE) The founding company of iGroup Australia commenced operations in Sydney in 1992 selling and servicing mailing equipment to the mailing industry, government and corporate clients. Impressed with iGroup Australia’s service, our customers requested iGroup Australia take over their equipment and manage their mail processing. In 1993 iGroup Australia established a dedicated mail house infrastructure servicing the direct mail industry.
Since commencing operations iGroup Australia has experienced an enthusiastic uptake of our services coupled with strong growth year after year. Today, iGroup Australia is a substantial and consolidated printing and mail processing business, currently printing over 5 million impressions and processing over 3 million mail packs per month.
iGroup Australia currently has a portfolio of over 600 clients, serviced nationally under iGroup Australia, and spanning the Government and Business sectors. Testimony to the high service levels that we continue to deliver, we have a number of clients who have chosen iGroup Australia for their mail house processing for over 10 years, such as SITA Environmental Solutions (formerly Pacific Waste Management), University of New South Wales and the Department of Health.
In 2004 iGroup Australia acquired Prime Mailing Services, to further grow the business and add to its already impressive equipment and customer portfolio. In 2005 iGroup Australia experienced a substantial increase in business from a number of clients. We provide mail, share registry and fulfillment services to MBF, HCF, Link Market Services, ING, Zurich, Clearview, Wine People, The Cancer Council and a number of charity organisations. These clients have transferred their work to iGroup Australia as their preferred supplier.
In December 2004, iGroup Australia was the first mail house in Australia to purchase and install the latest Xerox Novera 120 Production Laser Printer providing higher quality printing to our clients. In this period, we also went live with Transactional Email and Faxing as an additional method of communication our clients can use to converse with their customers. This option has decreased mailing costs for one of our most significant clients SITA Environmental Solutions who have chosen to communicate to customers via this channel, saving on stock costs and enabling faster speed to market of their communications. In 2008, iGroup Australia commissioned a new breed of intelligent inserting machine technology of mail processing providing a wider and faster range of mail processing from DL to C4 applications. As well, we have invested in Laser Colour printing technology to respond and react to our customers needs.
In August 2007, iGroup Australia became a national communication service provider. The group reacted to the changes affecting the industry and created an eastern sea board service covering NSW, VIC and QLD, the new services are characterised by the I in iGroup offering: Information, Integration, Innovation and Intelligent processes to minimise customer’s costs and to automate in every opportunity. iGroup responding to customer concerns over the narrowing of the market as acquisitions and data / communication generators are confronted with the reality of limited options, providing a reliable alternative to the industry. iGroup Australia now employs over 150 staff and offers a true alternative to mail generators, we are not too heavy to move and unlike the Tier 1 Mail Service providers we are the most flexible, service and solution focused mailing house in the industry.
